Uncommon Gold embodies a manifest recipe for musical alchemy. The group's debut album 'Slow Burn', set for release in March 2008, is a finely wrought mosaic, the work of a mature, visionary band.
Since October 2006 Stephen Fisk, Tim Tweedale, Dan Gaucher & Josh Cole have meticulously refined their chemistry & group identity. Being equally gifted instrumentalists & composers, they bring a wealth of experience and creative vitality to the collaborative process. With numerous profile engagements to their credit, including recording for CBC Radio's 'Canada Live' during a month long residency at Vancouver's Jazz Cellar, the band has taken the opportunity to hone it's malleable repertoire on the bandstand before commiting polished versions to tape.
Enlisting the invaluable collaboration of co-producer Jon Kooy & photographer Robert Kenney, Uncommon Gold is generating a unique niche and momentum to reach a broader audience base.
